The holidays are quickly approaching so, it’s time to start planning your Holiday outfits! Everyone’s holiday season looks a little different with family parties, work events, or outings with friends. Throughout the next few weeks I will be covering outfits for each of these affairs. Be sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram so you are updated when each look goes live! With this look I was aiming for a cute but comfortable look for spending a day at grandmas house.
You can never go wrong with a cozy sweater and almost everyone already has a black one in their wardrobe! I purchased my sweater last winter so this exact one is no longer available. However, I found this one which features a similar, ruffled neckline and a more affordable version here. Then, I picked up this skirt which features the current trend of workwear to daywear and brings a bit of red into the outfit. I find that having the wrap across the front is so flattering and we could all use a bit of a tummy cover when holiday food is around! I also found the length to be perfect which can be difficult with a mini skirt! It is selling out fast so I linked a similar option here and here!
Next, you must accessorize! Since this look is for a holiday party I wanted to keep the accessories minimal and not too flashy. Some delicate jewelry adds a bit of sparkle while, the fur wrap will keep you warm and stylish. I love a statement bag and a red clutch accentuates the stripe in the skirt. For shoes I went with over the knee boots because you can never go wrong with them. Mine have a heel but, a flat version would be just as cute and maybe more practical for a day spent with family!
